R–MSICS Marker

Ranjan’s Technique of Manual Small Incision Cataract Surgery-I have modified MSICS technique to reduce time taken (not at the cost of quality) and improve outcomes. The flap-less tunnel making saves precious limbal stem cells, no use of dye (trypan blue) saves corneal endothelium, less instrumentation incites lesser inflammation leading to quicker & better visual recovery. It is also economical making it ideal and cost effective for poor. R - MSICS can be done more predictably & easily using Ranjan MSICS marker.

Ranjan MSICS Marker

It is created to help in three critical steps of Manual Small Incision Cataract Surgery (MSICS). It will fix the globe through its 360 serrated edges during tunnel making, It will help create perfect frown shaped 6mm incision exactly 2 mm away from limbus through its tunnel incision marker and the incorporated Corneal axis marker will help plan incision on steeper axis, taking care of pre existing astigmatism & SIA. This will make topical SICS a reality for majority of eye Surgeons practising SICS with ease and predictable outcome.

Topical Hepta Procedure

The Topical Hepta Procedure encompasses

1) Trabeculectomy

2) Mitomycin C

3) Ologen

4) Anti VEGF

5) Phacoemulsification

6) Intraocular Lens Implantation

7) Posterior Sub Tenon Triamcinolone

It is an excellent technique with quick recovery of vision and excellent Intraocular Pressure control with fewer immediate and long term complications.

Cartwheel Chop

It is a technique developed for nucleus sculpting during Phacoemulsification cataract surgery for budding Phaco surgeons & hard cataract. In cartwheel chop, Phaco probe is impelled in the centre of the lens to fix it (like hub of cartwheel), with a Kelman 45 degree phaco tip one can rotate the lens like cartwheel and sculpt it using chopper over the imaginary spoke. . The nucleus after being impelled with phaco tip is lifted and tilted obliquely. The chopping happens at iris plane, the nuclear fragments are pushed back in the bag, while rotating and chopping. Creating 6 to 8 pieces. Fragments are then emulsified in the bag.

Carter

The Cartwheel chopper for Phacoemulsification Surgery. Its unique feature include a blunt tip to ensure posterior capsule protection, sharp cutting edge for smooth chopping, a curve to lift nucleus for supracapsular chopping with more precision as curve will engage equator of cataractous lens and this smooth curve will also ensure  Continuous Curvilinear Capsulorhexis margin protection.

Infinity Incision

Infinity incision is a modification of incision placed for SICS with Trab surgery for grade IV and above nucleus. It is a “V” incision with curved and longer horizontal limbs.
